Day 01 : DELHI – LEH BY FLIGHT ,Rest day in Leh for Acclimatize
Arrive in Delhi by flight and transfer to Domestic Airport to board the early morning flight to Leh, perhaps the most fascinating flight over Himalayas. Upon arrival in Leh, traditional welcome by our representative and transfer to a Ladakhi style hotel. Morning, free to take a complete rest for acclimatization due to the high altitude of Leh (3505 m).
Day 02 :
In the afternoon visit the Leh Palace. It has nine storey’s and was built by King Singe Namgyal in the 16th century. From here you enjoy the amazing & breathtaking view of whole Leh city. Later visit Sankar Monastery contains a formidable collection of miniature statues of pure gold and ancient paintings. Overnight in Leh.
Day 03 : EXPLORE INDUS VALLEY
Morning after breakfast, proceed for a full day excursion to the Indus valley, visiting Shey Palace - a ruined Castle, after that visit the 14th century Thikse monastery, it is an outstanding specimen of Ladakhi architecture. It is a glorious Buddhist monastery & a marvelous Buddha statue in the seated position is adorning the main prayer hall. Later visit the Hemis monastery- the richest monastery in Ladakh. In the last, visit the Royal Stok Palace & museum(Residence of the royal family of Ladakh). Later back to Hotel. Overnight in Leh.
Day 04 : LEH - LAMAYURU - ALCHI
After early breakfast drive to Lamayuru (127 Km / about 5 hrs), enroute visit Spituk gompa, the name "Spituk", meaning exemplary. Spituk Gompa is beautifully located on a hilltop and provides a beautiful view of the Indus Valley & Leh Airport. Later drive for Lamayuru, on arrival visit Lamayuru monastery- known to be the oldest monastic establishment in Ladakh. The monastery is made up of a number of shrines and also has a very rich collection of thanks and magnificent wall paintings. Later drive towards to Alchi. Alchi village, situated on the bank of Indus River. The village is famous for the existence of one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh (a national heritage) Alchi Monastery, mainly known for its magnificent and well-preserved 11th or 12th century wall paintings. Overnight in Alchi.
Day 05 : ALCHI – LIKIR - LEH
After breakfast, enjoy the visit of Monastery & Alchi Village & later drive back to Leh (65 km/ 3 hrs). Enroute visit Likir, it contains the huge Buddha statue, museum & various old manuscripts. It also houses an interesting collection of thankas, old religious and domestic costumes and implements etc. Further continue drive to Leh. Arrive and transfer to hotel for overnight.
Day 06 : LEH – NUBRA, VIA KHARDUNG LA (PASS)
After breakfast, drive (125km/ 5 hrs) to Nubra Valley Known as Ldumra (the valley of flowers). There is only one road to Nubra valley, journey to Nubra valley leads through the world highest motorable road, Khardungla Pass which is at a height of 5606m. / 18380 ft above sea level and around 39 kms from Leh. The views from the top are spectacular. After crossing the pass, you see the main villages of Nubra Valley like Khardung village, Khalsar and Deskit. On arrival in Deskit Village, check into the camp & relax. Overnight in Deskit.
Day 07 : EXPLORE NUBRA VALLEY
After breakfast start excursion of the valley, to visit Deskit & Hundar gompa, passing through the white Sand Dunes, where you see double humped Bactrian camel once used by the local traders on the famous silk route. Later visit the Hundar, here you can see all the elements of nature – desert, snow, greenery and water. Evening back to Camp & relax or you can do leisure walks around the campsite.
Day 08 : NUBRA – LEH, VIA KHARDUNG LA (125 Km / about 5 hrs drive)
After breakfast, drive to visit the Panamik hot-springs, the holy lake and Samstanling gompa & its school. Later drive back to Leh, over-crossing Khardung la pass. Arrive & transfer to hotel. Late afternoon visit Shanti Stupa (Japanese Pagoda) a magnificent white-domed structure, offers spectacular views of the sunrise and sunset. Overnight in Leh.
Day 09 : LEH-PANGONG LAKE (150 Km / 5 hours drive)
Morning after breakfast, drive to famous blue brackish Pangong Lake by crossing the worlds 3rd highest motorable road Changla Pass at height of 5320 Mtr. Enroute you see the many eye catching views of villages below the pass. On arrival at Pangong Lake, check into the camp & relax. Later explore the Pangong Lake, where you feel close to nature and its beauty. Overnight at camp near to Pangong Lake.
Day 10 : PANGONG LAKE – LEH (150 Km / 5 hours drive)
Morning after breakfast drive back to Leh. On arrival in Leh, check into the hotel & relax. Evening free for shopping in Leh Market. Overnight in Leh.
Day 11 : LEH - DELHI BY FLIGHT
Morning assistance transfer to Leh airport to board once again most fascinating flight to Delhi over the heights of the great Himalayas, mid night transfer to Delhi international Airport.
