Day 01 :
Paris – Delhi : upon Arrival Delhi, you will be met at the international airport and Transferred to your Hotel. {B}
Day 02 :
Delhi-leh (B + L + D) : Transfer to the Delhi domestic airport for your flight to leh, The capital of ladakh and situated among the hills on the side of the Indus valley. Upon arrival, you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel to begin your adaptation to high altitude. You will have an afternoon presentation with your guide.
Day 03 :
Leh – Sight seeing : This day is meant to Provide an opportunity to get a feel of the place. Guests will be driven to the leh Palace,which houses old relics that belong to the sixteenth century ruler of ladakh. Stok palaces & spituk Monastery overnight Hotel
Day 04 :
Leh- Day : Leh-full day sightseeing ; [Shey palace, Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery} Shey Palace was the old capital and the home of the kings of ladakh before the new capital become established in leh the palace site in a strategic position on a spur jutting out the Indus valley. the main temple contains a large Buddha statue sculpted by Nepalese craftsmen.
Thiksey, this large gompa is an impressive sight, situated on top of a craggy hill while the rest of the complex sprawls down beneathit.it was founded in the 15th century by gelukpa monks. stok, this has been royal palace since the king was dethroned by the dogras and is now the home of the last kings widow,Hemis Monastery then proceeding towards the famous gompa in this area, around 35 km far from leh. This gompa was founded in the 17th century and is sometime called chang sang ling, the solitary palace of the compassionate ones; it belong to the kagyu pa sect inside the monastery you see the impressive image of Guru padma sambhava which is in a temple behind the dukhang. Day 06 :
Drive from Leh – Kargil 234 kms. 8/9 hours {B+L+D}
Driving along the srinagar to leh National high way the route traces its way past the villages of Nimu, Khaltsi, Lamayuru, Bodhkharbu and Mulbek. Kargil 2704 Km is the second largest urban center of ladakh and lies on the line of control between India and Pakistan. We halt here for the night.
Day 07 :
Drive from kargil to Rangdum 130 kms. 5/6 hours. : Rangdum 3657m is almost midway between kargil and padum. It is a Picturesque place, surrounded by colorful hills on the one side and glacier encrusted Rocky Mountains on the other. Rangdum also has a 18th century Buddhist monastery of the geluk pa order. We shall camp here for the night.
Day 08 :
Drive from Rangdum to Padum 110 kms. 5 hrs.{D+L+D}
About 20 kms. Southeast of Rangdum stands the penzi- la pass axis across which lies zanskar. The penzi- la pass 4401 kms is a scenic tableland surrounded by snow-cover peaks. As the zanskar road winds down the steep slopes of penzi la pass to the head of the stod valley, the majestic drang – Drung glacier looms in to full view. Drang- Drung is one of the largest glacier in ladakh. Padum is capital of zanskar just a scattering of small. white washed buildings in a vast plain with a tiny population of about 1500. we shall used Hotel or local Guest House. here for the night. Day 09 :
Trek Padum to Karsha {355m}3/4 hrs. {B+L+D} : Today is easy walk via Pipiting villages 7 visit gonpa to karsha along the west bank of the zanskar river is described below.simple but monotonous walking along a road take the trekker across the padum plain, past pipiting to karsha . the climb from the bridge across the stod river to this beautiful gelukpa gompawhose whitewashed building sprawl down the hillside, is well worth the effort, Particularly for the view to the Great Himalaya range which you are unable to appreciate from padum. This is the largest monastery in zanskar. With about 140 resident monks and there’s also a nunnery on the hill to the west of the main monastery. Over night guest house.
Day 10 :
Trek Karsha to Pishu {3450m}6/7 hours {B+L+D} : Morning after the break fast walk jeep road goes to Rinam villages and along the way there is good view south to tongday and the tongday la pass behind soon after passing Tsazar on the opposite bank the path climb on to a plateau which you cross to the villages of Pishu, over night campsite near zanskar river bank.
Day 11 :
Trek Pishu to Hanumil {3420m} 5/6 hours {B+L+D} : Morning after the break fast trail beyond pishu is easy over gently undulating land, essentially following the river downstream you climb up the opposite bank to an elaborate gateway chorten on the crest. on opposite Zangla villages & gompa.on the way visit Pidmo villages follow the row of chortens out of the villages and take trail descending to the river to Hanumil over night camp site.
Day 12 :
Trek Hanimul to Nyetse via parfi la pass 3900m,{4230m}6/7 hours,{B+L+D}
Morning after the break fast beginning of the zanskar gorge where the river cutsan impressive path east and then north through the mountains.In summer white water rafters and kayakers are the only peoples who can continue through this magnificent chasm. During winter zanskar river famous for ice frozen trek from Jan to feb two month. Pass is reach without difficult, a sentiment not shared by those who have made the steep ascent in the other direction. This is the first of the eight Passes you cross on your way to lamayuru. Over night camp site,
Day 13 :
Trek Nyetse to Lingshed via Hanuma- la pass 4700m, 7/8 hours.{B+L+D}
Morning after the break fast keep continue going down the stream by climbing over a small ridge behind the herders shelters.the path follow the stream up the gorge. Through willow trees a first and then through increasingly barren scenery. from pass wonderful view on to lingshed village & LINGSHE GONPA.Over night camp near gompa.
Day 14 :
Lingshed rest day {B+L+D}
.Lingshed gompa Gelukpa gompa is said to have been founded by Rinchen Zangpo on a rock from which an auspicious flame was seen burning.
Day 15 :
Trek Lingshed to Sengi la Base {4400m}6/7 hours {B+L+D}
Morning Break fast the trail continues easily over the Margun la 4370m and down to the small villages of Skyumpata. Soon after cross a stream below the village of gongma and begin the hard climb to the khupa la 4430m,from the top of the khupa la don’t continue down the steep trail straight a head which leads to the collection of house called yulchung. Instead, follow the more obvious trail which stays at a level height, contouring round to the north west. You soon reach a large camp.
Day 16 :
Trek Sengi- la Base to Potoksar via Sengi la pass {4900m}7/8 hours{B+L+D}
Morning after the break fast walk ascent to the highest pas on the route is never very steep and the views from the summit are spectacular. to the south you can see Nerak and the start of the alternative trail to padum along the east bank of the zanskar river, to the north west is a beautiful peak resplendent with hanging glaciers. This the lion pass, Descend the short steep slope from the pass and on down the broad valley. At some stage you need to cross over on to the left SW bank to pick up a trail which climb away from the stream and makes its undulationg way to the small Bumiktse –la 4400m
Over night camp.
Day 17 :
Trek Photoksar to Hunupatta. Via Sir Sir la Pass {4800m}6/7 hours.{B+L+D}
Morning after the break fast keep continue walk cross the bridge to climb easily to the pretty villages of photoksar. The trail climbs to a large chorten and then rises gradually to the sirsir la . first along the south- west side of the valley and then crossing to the north-east. There is a final steep climb to the summit. From the pass you can see back to sengi la and a head to rock spires near the snigutsela. continuing along the main trail to hanupatta descent in a northly direction from the pass. When you reach a bridge cross on to the left west bank of the spang nala and carry on down the valley. Over night camp site.
Day 18 :
Trek Hunupatta to Wanla 5/6 hours {B+L+D}
Today easy walk take a lower path out of the villages and continue down the valley. willow trees line the river and the valley begins to narrow into a gorge. The gorge is spectacular and makes interesting walking. there are several cave and mani walls.over night campsite in wanla
Day 19 :
Trek Wanla to Lamayuru ¾ hour via Prinikla 3700m.
Morning after b/f visit Ancient wanla Monastery and start to ascents towards to Prinkiti la pass {3725m} descend down to lamayuru village and visit Ancient Lamayuru start a sand spend time exploring the extensive building of this ancient Buddhist sanctuary. this extraordinary gompa is perched on top of a beautifully eroded crag.
Continues Drive to Alchi over night Hotel..
Day 20 :
Alchi to Leh 65 km ¾ hours {B+L+D}
Morning after b/f today you will drive to along with Indus valley river to the famous Monastery at Alchi. This Monastery preserves some of the most spectacular Buddhist wall painting sever created. And Hot lunch in leh over night Hotel.
Day 21 :
Leh to Delhi fly to delhi.{Breakfast only}
Arrival & transfer to Hotel and afternoon sight seeing old delhi
Evening transfer to International Airport.
